I practice power-off stalls over Livermore and Pleasanton on a sunny Saturday morning with scattered clouds.

I took a (daredevil) college friend flying as I practiced stalls. This was my first time taking off with two passengers and found myself really having to pull back on the yoke because of the additional weight. I missed rotation speed by a bit and experienced a fast takeoff - lifting off at about 65 knots.

Power-off stalls were fairly straightforward. I was having a bit of trouble staying on plane as I raised the nose until Garrett had pick a point on the horizon to drive the nose through as I pulled back to induce the stall.

Heading back to PAO, I flew through a nice, puffy, transparent cloud. Realizing I would have needed to climb or descend about 300 feet in a couple of seconds to miss it, I just went through it. Expecting a shout, I looked over at Garrett who explained that it was o.k. since we still had 100% visibility at all time as we neared and went through the cloud. Watch out clear clouds. I’m coming for ya.
